Everyone is welcome to join us to pray for life, to heal, and to nurture the relations with the Great Spirit and all of Creation.

Our activities are rooted in the Native American tradition of the Lakota Nation. Everyone facilitating the ceremonies has been learning about the Lakota way of life for over twenty years and has received the blessing and mission from our Teachers and Elders - most and foremost Mary Elizabeth Thunder - to spread the Native teachings and ceremonies in Europe.

We are Wicahpi to Wakan Okolakiciye - Sacred Blue Star Dreaming Society - and organised as a non-profit association. We are part of and closely connected to the Blue Star community in Texas.

SWEATLODGE

Purification, prayer and connection

The sweatlodge is a space for purifying the body and mind, praying for our loved ones and the world, and singing praise to the Great Spirit with Lakota songs. It is a community ceremony open to all people. The ceremony is completed with a feast, sharing food and stories. The sweat lodge takes place every second Sunday in Dornach SO or Bärschwil SO, Switzerland, from noon to evening. During around 8 weekends a year we hold sweatlodges in Hellum, Netherlands.

MOON CEREMONY

Gathering as sisters

As in many cultures, also to us, the moon represents the feminine. At full moon we come together to connect and nurture ourselves with this source of female energy. Sitting around the fire, under the light of the moon, we’ll start with a talking circle. We listen to ourselves and each other. Depending on what comes up, we may do a meditation, learn more about female medicine, feminine grounding, moon lodge- and womb teachings, or ceremonies for women. We’ll close the evening with an ancient Native ceremony for women. Angelique, Sasja and Marjoleine are facilitating the evening. They have been learning from various indigenous grandmothers for over twenty years. For practical reasons, the moon ceremonies are held on the Mondays closest to the full moon. Starting at 19.30 in Dornach.

WALKING THE SPIRAL

Spiralling to the centre

Walking the Spiral is a ceremony for women that goes back to ancient times. The spiral itself is one of the oldest symbols on earth. From the Sacred Spiral the medicine wheel and the labyrinth are born. The first dance we make into our existence is the dance of the fertilized egg, spiralling in the womb, until it finds its spot to nestle. When we walk the Sacred Spiral, we walk into our deeper consciousness and knowing to find answers or direction for where we are on our path. The spiral consists of 22 stones. Every stone represents a teaching and lesson on the path of a woman and has a message for her life. It is a ceremony for deeper listening to ourselves and our inner wisdom, we connect with the female forces inside and outside ourselves. We like to invite you to join us.

VISION QUEST

become the dream that you had of yourself before you were born

A vision quest is a spiritual rite of passage, where individuals fast, pray, and seek guidance for a life purpose by communing with the spirit world in isolation in nature for several days . It’s a powerful Ceremony in which you gain spiritual insight, deepen the connection with who you really are and access your fuller potential. The questers are supported by our experienced facilitators and supporters who are making sure that we maintain a safe environment and keep the fire going! If you feel called to the quest, connect with us for more information. The Vision Quest usually takes place in Switzerland at the end of July.
